Palate is private by design. Your food memories live on your device — we don't collect them, we can't see them, and they never touch a server we run.

What we collect

Nothing. Palate has no account, no login, and no analytics. The meals, photos, ratings, notes, places and taste profile you create are stored only on your iPhone. We have no backend and no way to access your data.

Your photos and location

Photos you attach to a memory are saved inside the app on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere.
Location, when you allow it, is used on-device to find nearby places while you log a meal. It is not stored or shared.
Camera access is used only when you choose to take a photo for a memory.

No third parties

Palate contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Because your data stays on your device, there is nothing for us — or anyone else — to sell, share, or lose.

Your data is yours

You can delete all of your memories at any time from within the app. Removing the app removes your data with it. If a future version offers optional syncing or backup, it will be clearly labeled and off by default, and this policy will be updated before it ships.
