We're happy to help.
Palate is your private food biography — a place to remember the meals that matter, all kept on your own device. If something isn't working or you have a question, here's how to get help.
How do I log a meal?
Tap the + button and choose how you ate — dine in, takeout, or home-cooked. You can also scan a receipt or a delivery-order screenshot and Palate will read the restaurant and items for you.
Can I add a photo or edit a memory later?
Yes. Open any memory and tap Edit to change the dish, restaurant, cuisine, rating, note, date, or add a photo at any time.
Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?
Everything stays on your iPhone — your meals, photos, ratings, and taste profile. Palate has no account and no cloud, so there's nothing to sign into. Because your data lives on the device, deleting the app also deletes your memories, so keep that in mind before removing it.
How is my food personality decided?
It's read from what you actually log — your cuisines, flavors, how often you eat out, and how your taste shifts over time. It's not a quiz, and it updates as you add more meals.
Does Palate work offline?
Yes. Palate works fully offline and never needs a connection to log, browse, or explore your memories.
Email us at help@palate-yourfoodbiography.app and we'll get back to you. Let us know your device and iOS version, and what you were doing when the issue happened.
